> 2 passport pictures of yourself (you will need them for your student ID card and your public transportation pass in Strasbourg) > Consider purchasing an Eurail ticket before leaving the US. You can't buy it in Europe and that is the incentive of the good deal for students who plan to travel extensively in Europe. > Eventually think about getting an international drivers license from AAA if you are considering renting a car. It only costs $15 and is a translation of your US license. (You will still need to bring your state driver's license and also a credit card.) > Form and documents: OFII form - signed by the consulate. This insures that you have housing and this form will need to be given to the perfecture (local residence office) in Strasbourg Helpful information can be downloaded here. |
