The Program Fee includes the following:

Housing:

  • Student room, double occupancy with shared bathroom in the Château de Pourtalès castle
Meals: 
  • Breakfast included daily
  • Welcome reception and group dinner on your arrival day
  • 2 additional group meals during the program will be arranged
  • Special Thanksgiving dinner at the Château
  • Farewell dinner
Site Visits:

Strasbourg, France:
  • Visit to the European Parliament
  • Visit to the Council of Europe
  • Visit to the European Court of Human Rights
  • Visit to the US Consulate General in Strasbourg
Brussels, Belgium, Trier and Luxembourg:
  • 2 day / 3 night excursion to Brussels/Luxembourg:
    • Visit to the European Court of Justice
    • 2 visits to institutions e.g. European Commission, Council of the European Union and/ or Committee of the Regions – Economic and Social Commission
    • 2 visits to institutions e.g. NATO, US Mission and / or World Bank Group
Germany:
  • Visit to the German Bundesbank or the European Central Bank in the morning
  • Visit to the German Stock Exchange 
  • Visit to the German Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) in Karlsruhe
  • Visit to the Assembly of the European Regions (AER)
Cultural visits and activities:
  • Day tour with a private guide along the Alsatian wine route “route du vin” during the day incl. a guided tour of the Haut Koenigsbourg Castle and an Alsatian winery incl. wine tasting

  • Day trip to the city of Heidelberg, Germany. Walking tour and visit to the famous Heidelberg Castle

  • Guided boat tour of Strasbourg
  • Guided tour of the Historical Museum
  • Visit to the Kronenbourg Brewery  incl. beer tasting
  • Visit to an automobile company in Rastatt
  • Company visit in the region near Strasbourg
Language and on-site coordinator:
  • “Survival French“ course (20 hours) 
  • Orientation session and on-site coordinator in Strasbourg 
Transportation: 
  • Ground transportation from Strasbourg airport or train station to the Château de Pourtalès
  • Public transportation pass for Strasbourg 
  • All ground transfers for excursions as listed in the list above

Transfer from/to Frankfurt Airport to Strasbourg can be arranged for an additional fee

Internet and Phone: 

  • Free use of computer lab & Internet access 
  • Cell phone (minutes not included)
