GSU March 2010 Symposium at the Château de Pourtalès

A special symposium is being planned by Dr. Downs in conjunction with the EU Studies program.

It is scheduled to be held on March 11-13, 2010.

The symposium theme is “Human Rights and Human Insecurities in an Age of Open Borders:  European and American Experiences Compared.” 

The event will bring together research faculty and keynote speakers from both sides of the Atlantic for discussions on the human rights implications of immigration and the free movement of peoples in contemporary societies.  One panel at the symposium will be designated for presentation of student research papers.
